Survivor, S37: David vs. Goliath

After a long and tiring day at work, all I want to do is to relax. I like to sit on my comfortable sofa, watch TV, and maybe have a glass of wine. However, my cat has different ideas. As soon as I enter the house, she starts meowing loudly and rubbing against my legs. I know what she wants – it's dinner time for her.

I try to ignore her and make my way to the sofa, but she follows me, still meowing and now even pawing at my legs. I give in and head to the kitchen to prepare her meal. As soon as I open the can of cat food, she starts purring and rubbing against my legs. It's amazing how quickly her behavior changes once she knows she's getting what she wants.

I place the food in her bowl and she digs in eagerly. I return to the living room and finally sit down on the sofa. But just as I'm about to take a sip of my wine, I hear her meowing again. This time, she's at the window, looking outside. I get up once again and open the window for her. She jumps onto the ledge and starts sniffing the air. She looks so content and happy, and I can't help but smile.

I go back to the sofa and this time, I manage to take a few sips of my wine before she's meowing at the door. I get up yet again and let her out into the garden. I watch her as she explores the garden, chasing after imaginary preys and enjoying the freedom. It's a peaceful sight, and I feel a sense of calm wash over me.

Finally, she comes back inside and settles down on the sofa next to me. I stroke her fur and she starts purring. Despite the interruptions, I realize that taking care of her brings me joy and relaxation. I may not always get to do exactly what I want after a long day, but seeing her happy makes it all worth it.
